| Mark Soemann, QEI leads the Vertical Transportation Studio within Architectural Resources (A|r), a sixty-person Architecture and Planning based in Western New York. Through the past two decades, Mark has completed hundreds of elevator and escalator design projects, including studies, assessments and capital planning projects for public and private sector clients nationwide. Mark and his team at A|r bring a wealth of experience in design and construction of vertical transportation systems and specialize in projects with unique coordination challenges. With this expertise, Mark has built an extensive portfolio of vertical transportation design projects for academic, healthcare, behavioral health and correctional environments. In 2021 and in 2016, Mark and his team received Elevator World’s Award for Project of the Year and in 2018 was nominated for Consultant of the Year. Mark has the knowledge and ability to remain involved throughout each phase of the design and construction management process. Technical aptitude, keen awareness, and the ability to listen and relay information in an understandable manner are key strengths which enable Mark to work with clients, consultants and coworkers in a responsive and innovative manner. Mark is a QEI Certified elevator inspector and holds a Bachelor of Science in Architectural Technology from Alfred State College. |
